PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE Computer aided design, 3D-modeling.
OBJECTIVES
The student will be able to produce and use design information in several parts of product design project. He or she understands the value of working in project organisation. The student will learn to appreciate data management and information sharing between team members.
CONTENTS
  • The benefits of simultaneous engineering. 
  • Methods of concurrent team work 
  • Information sharing in a design project team. 
  • Design project assignment.
During this course the students will design, model and manufacture a simple product according to agreed specifications and goals. The production will take place in laboratory during course "System Project".

The student groups should have a well prepared product idea before starting this course.
 


 


 
COURSE MATERIAL
  1. Handouts and given material.
TOOLS Pro/ENGINEER software.
ASSESSMENT
Grades 0...5 will be given according to project work (40%) personal report (40%) and classroom activity (20%).
